I purchased this pump and followed the directions to be sure to charge for 24 hours before use. Be sure you do this! I've used it 3 times withing 3 weeks since and have not had to recharge yet. It's quick and efficient for an air-mattress, so I'm sure it would work well for other items as well.

Had one of these for quite a while. Can't remember the last time I charged it. Maybe it was two years ago. Seriously. I've used it a dozen times, both for inflating and quick deflating, since the last charge. Too heavy to take backpacking alone, but hey...I usually don't take an air mattress to backcountry. Don't lose the tips.
