"Coleman Rechargeable Quick Pump Review" 2010-05-10

By Jason C. Colbert (Boston, MA)

I purchased this pump and followed the directions to be sure to charge for 24 hours before use. Be sure you do this! I've used it 3 times withing 3 weeks since and have not had to recharge yet. It's quick and efficient for an air-mattress, so I'm sure it would work well for other items as well.

"Quick shipping and reliable product" 2010-04-22

I received the product in 3 days and the product was everything described, definitely would have no problem ordering from the shipper again. Also the pump came in great packaging, there was no way the product would have broken during delivery. Thank you for the trouble free experience.

 "Very Weak" 2010-03-28

By Pedro Sanchez

Weak battery dies quickly. When it does work it is very slow and very low pressure.

 "Excellent - couldn't ask for better" 2010-01-30

By Dog Mom

Purchased December 2007 - and still love this pump. Was wary when buying, yet continue to be pleased and surprised at how well it works. Used w/ Coleman airbed - at home for guests and also camping. Keeps its charge, inflates/deflates the airmattress easily and quickly. Light-weight, durable, well made.

 "Can't complain at all..." 2010-01-09

By B. Roberson

Had one of these for quite a while. Can't remember the last time I charged it. Maybe it was two years ago. Seriously. I've used it a dozen times, both for inflating and quick deflating, since the last charge. Too heavy to take backpacking alone, but hey...I usually don't take an air mattress to backcountry. Don't lose the tips.

"All you need is this" 2010-03-22

By J. Brainard (AL)

Hands down, Delorme makes the best maps. If you ever visit Maine, go to their store and see "Eartha" (Worlds largest revolving globe). If you are camping or just looking to explore you state a little better this is the map for you. Way better than any GPS. Keep it in your car all the time and get a window stick on compass instead! Delorme thank you for such a great product!! Buy the way, the Maine version is a staple in about every home in that state. I grew up with them and live by them.

In a time of GPS usage there is still value in a map that is so accurate and easy to follow. Sometime's you just want to see more than a 5" screeen can show at one time.

 "Planning Ahead..." 2009-07-01

By D. S. Thurlow (Alaska)

"The DeLorme South Dakota Atlas and Gazetteer" is an excellent resource for trip planning. South Dakota is a deceptively large state with a lot of wide open spaces and its own rugged terrain. This atlas should allow the average traveler to navigate to pretty much any place on the road network, and to gain a limited appreciation for the terrain along the way. The scale of the map is quite good for such a large state; the numbered and multicolored map sheets are detailed to one inch equals 3.2 miles. The map sheets also include latitude/longitude markings for GPS grids.

In addition to a locational gazetteer, this DeLorme Atlas provides general information on recreational opportunities. The listings include federal and state parks, game management areas for hunting; and locations suitable for fishing, hiking, or bicycling. The map scale is not detailed enough to support off-road movement; those travelers planning to do off-road route finding are advised to consult more specialized products.

The DeLorme South Dakota Atlas and Gazetteer is very highly recommended for planning and navigating for business or pleasure in South Dakota.

"Best Map Guide That You Will Ever Need of Alabama" 2009-01-11

By William R. Blanton (Birmingham, AL)

This atlas is not confusing. Generally each grid has the county or area within it that you are wanting information. I buy mobile homes. When the person is giving directions, I can see it on the map instantly. I highly recommend it.

Got us to South Dakota, but none of the roads we wanted to go on once we were there were marked with road signs. So we had to guess and got lost. A LOT.

"Lighting up the dark places" 2010-01-10

By D. Hunt (Rockwall,tx usa)

This light will light up the tent and any other dark places around the house.Has a powerfull magnet and a good mounting bracket.Have a three room tent and should have purchased two more.

 "Works well" 2010-01-04

By proshopper

This light has a very powerful magnet which makes it stick to the tent and stay in place. I had to have my husband put it on becuase my arthritic hands could not seperate the magnets. The light is not really bright enough for it to be as useful as it could be, but it still serves its purpose. It worked great for a nightlight for my younger daughter who does not like the dark when camping and it did not bother my older daughter who likes to have complete dark to get asleep. The fact that it settled that argument made it worth the purchase.

 "works perfectly for us" 2009-12-27

By J. Smith (Auburndale, fl United States)

I'll start by saying we are family campers - not hardcore backwoods campers. We camp with a 6 year old and 2 year old and this light is perfect for us. It clips up very easily and gives of plenty of light to get everyone changed into their pajamas, settled in their sleeping bags, and bedtime stories read. I like that I can clip it anywhere so I can put it just out of reach of the kids but in a place that I can reach from the sleeping bag. It has a strong magnet so I don't worry about it falling and breaking (or hitting someone on the head). We've used it on many different camping trips and it has worked well each time. I couldn't be happier with this light.

"Handy but not very bright" 2009-09-30

By N. Herron (Middle America)

This light is nice because you can position it pretty much anywhere but it's only bright enough to navigate a dark tent and not step on someone. This is not a reading light or even a light to play cards by. And b/c it's battery operated it's not a good night light. Maybe great in a tiny 1 person tent where you could have it inches from your face/reading material but not in a family size tent.

 "Great Product" 2010-04-14

By J. Brownson (Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania)

I bought this product because I had accidentally let my Camelbak sit for about 5 months with water in it and it was full of mold and slime. After using this kit, it cleaned up like new with no residual taste to the water. Since then, I have used it numerous times for drying. I use it after every time I go out so I know that I won't have the mold problem again. The only complaint I have is that the tube brush is not as long as my tube. Also, I have to remove the mouthpiece on the tube to get the brush in. This isn't a huge problem as it comes out pretty easily and the tube doesn't need to be cleaned with the brush that often if you rinse and dry it after each use. I am just concerned that if I continue to remove and replace the mouthpiece, over time I will begin to see a leak where it attaches. Other than that, I a very happy with this purchase. The large brush works great to clean the inside and the drying rack sets up super easy and works like a charm. I would definitely recommend this to others to keep their Camelbak clean and dry.

The brushes work well for cleaning and you can cheap out and use denture tablets when the CB ones are gone. The drier works ok, there always seems to be a bit of water at the mouth of the reservoir but I guess it's impossible to get it all out. I think you can bend a plastic hanger and get something to work almost as well as this setup but for the price and what you get it's a good enough deal, I'm happy I have it and use it after every hike.

"Use what you already have at home." 2010-01-11

By logical shopper (San Francisco Bay Area, California)

The big brush you can get at Walmart - just don't use it for any other cleaning. The small brush for tube cleaning won't work because you cannot get it around the 90 degree turn in the mouthpiece. I use a clothes pin to hang the water bag. I use a plastic cup to spread the bag open for air drying. Wash it after every use and you won't need the tablets.

 "Handy but not needed" 2010-01-04

By proshopper

This set is of good quality. These stakes are the only type we can use for more than a season. They do not bend or get lost in the sand. The top of the stake does come lose so you have to make sure it is pulled to the top before you put it in the ground. The rubber mallet is good quality and fairly heavy. The stake puller worked out really well especially in the sand. The broom and dust pan was really too small to do much good but was handy for spot cleaning. I still have to have my regular size broom to sweep out the tent before folding it. I was kind of disappointed with the quality of the broom and dust pan. They were just not as hearty as I have come to expect from Coleman. I would not say this set is a must have for camping, but it does come in handy.

......at least once, my son like the little brush and dustpan and kept cleaning the tet. And breaking down the puller really helps. Did I need it? Absolutly not, but it was a neat deal and it comes in a nice package that fits right in with the tent.

 "Tent stakes arrived pre-rusted" 2009-08-26

By Marty Yawnick (DFW, TX)

I'm sure that this is a handy kit to have. The tent stakes are much sturdier than the ones that came with my tent. For me, they also arrived pre-rusted -- a significant amount of rust covering most of the metal surfaces on all 4 stakes.

For what I paid for the item plus 2-day shipping, I'd prefer to rust my own stakes. These are going back.

"Nice kit except for one problem" 2009-08-25

By Noname

I bought this kit for my husband after our first camping trip and my husband 1) forgot to bring a mallet and broom and dustpan and 2) the stakes that came with our tent all bent the first time we tried to hammer them in.

It's nice to get it all in one little sack so we don't forget anything. I have since decided a large broom and battery operated hand vac suits my taste better than a little broom and dustpan, but those are still handy to have around.

The stakes in this kit are sturdier than the ones that came with our tent (i.e., they don't bend easily). The mallet works and we have no problem with it.

The stake puller works, but only if the stakes aren't stuck in the ground. The last time we used it, the stakes wouldn't come out and we were afraid plastic heads on the stakes would come off with the stake puller. It would be nice if either the stake heads weren't made of plastic or the stake puller would grip stake body so we could get a grip on the stake and pull.

Other than the problem with removing the stakes, I have no complaints.

"not military style 550 cord" 2010-03-07

By T. Hogan

This is 5mmx50feet. This is NOT "para cord" or "550 cord". it does not even have the white guts in it. If all your looking for is nylon rope this will work. Just don't buy it if you what the real stuff.

 "It's a good rope" 2010-02-22

By ashin220 (ashin220)

I was actually looking for some military paracord but, got his by accident. It works well enough but, does not have the smaller strands inside like paracord. Instead, it has a loose braided rope inside. I have not used it for any strength demanding tasks but, it works fine for light duty work.

 "parachute cord" 2010-02-14

By H. Sansom (Brooklyn, NY USA)

As those praising this product have noted, it has many many uses. But don't think you're going climbing with this. It's parachute cord, not rope. It's great for tying stuff down, suspending a shelter or a backpack. It's very light weight and easily stowed. But it is not rope in the heavier duty sense. You cannot get a grip on it for any of the purposes you might imagine rope being used for.

 "Lies, Lies, Lies" 2010-01-23

By C. S. Ethridge

no doubt this is the WORST purchase i have ever made. the picture is a lie. the picture is of parachute cord (what i thought i was buying), it's not. it's the kind of rope that borders the shallow end of the pool. oh yeah, and it's canary yellow. this is false advertising. it's both reprehensible and insulting. wth?

"General Purpose rope made in China." 2009-10-08

By Waiting (Mount Clearwater)

This is just General Purpose rope and it is made in China. It is OK rope suitable for tent lines, lashing, hanging food up in tree, tying people up, etc. It is not Para Cord like someone said, that being said it could be Chinese Para Cord which could explain why they hit the ground with a thud. If you want General Purpose rope just go to one of the DIY stores and put the money for shipping with your rope money and buy a better rope. The rope is about 3/16th's of a inch thick. It is Olive Drab in color and does not have individual cords inside. It is just General Purpose rope.
