first of all this tent is very very spacious, tons of room. Im 6'1 and if im stuck in a tent during rain, i dont want to be cramped crawling around in a tent. i can stand on the entire surface of this tent. however on the otherhand, if im stuck in a tent during rain, i dont want to get wet either. Unfortunately i cannot count on that in this tent. i set up prior to a camp trip because we were expecting rain. had it up for two straight days in steady rain. Not flash flood down pour rain but, steady "more than sprinkle" ALL day rain. now i pretty much had drips of water throughout the entire tent, the biggest area of water was puddles the size of a bar of soap. not horribly bad, but if you dont have an air mattress you WILL get wet. the water not only comes through the seams, but weeps through the walls without even touching it. I will remain open minded on this issue though, as i had done ZERO waterproofing. i bought a can of waterproofing spray, and if this remedies the problem this tent is a 5/5. Weather is just a huge aspect of a tent, i mean the purpose of a tent IS shelter correct?
now on to the construction. Ive never had a tent with such durable, strong poles, they are not held together by rubber like most tents, but steel wire. all though i just got the tent, i would imagine this will last forever. the floor patter in sewn in perfect, i big plus for me, since it seems every tent i get, the floor is not quite sewn right (when you stretch the tent to stake it down, it will not bunch anywhere) One aspect of this tent that attracted me to it was windows. it has two bay windows and the entire front, and rear opens up. this was important to me, as i have a dog, and he barks alot if he cannot see whats going on outside. the zippers flow flawlessly and effortlessly no "flaps" to get jammed into like most tents.
overall i cannot say im COMPLETELY satisfied untill i waterproof it completely, if this does remedy the water leak then this tent will be the best tent ive ever had. and will keep it for many years. if not, then i guess ill continue to shop for more dependable tent. It comes with a 10 year warranty, and amazon's return policy is so great that i do recommend you try it out. i will update this review once i spray it with water proofing.

This tent is very spacious, but that's about the only good thing about it. It leaks horrendously from most of the seams, as well as the fly. Do not buy this tent!

After searching many reviews and stores, both online and in retail stores, I decided to buy this Jeep tent. The setup was easy with the instructions provided. First time we did it took about 30 minutes, then once we got the hang of it, complete setup with the tarp in 15 minutes or less. The size is great! I best thing about it is that you can completely stand up in just about every part of the tent, so setting up an air mattress and making the bed is easy. The closet storage pockets are great, along with the small compartments throughout. It did rain quite heavily 2 of the times I used the tent and we had no leakage, except a tiny bit in the storage pocket. It has windows all around including in the corners which make for great ventilation.
I would not suggest using this tent in colder weather without some type of heating device because it does get cold even with all of the windows closed, but it's a great tent overall for warm or cooler weather (above 50 degrees). We are only 2 people and did not use the room divider, but it looks quite easy to setup. I don't know about putting 8 people in this tent, even with it's large size, but I would say 4-5 average size adults would have plenty of space without being on top of each other. Highly recommended for it's price, quality, and size!

Unfortunately, there are a lot of down sides to this tent. This tent does not have a "tub" floor, there is a seam at ground level, so you must place this tent carefully. The rain fly just is not large enough to cover the area in front of the door, so if you leave your shoes on the mat, they will get wet. Actually about half of the front of this tent gets wet. There is no material over the zippers as you find in most tents. The zippers are exposed to the weather. You must seam seal this tent, this process took me hours, a lot of seams on this tent. On our second camping trip when it rained the tent did leak, luckily I usually carry several tarps and could cover most of the tent. I also sprayed the entire tent with a water proofer. If you do not want to do this buy a large tarp and tarp the whole tent.
By now you are probably wondering why I kept this tent. This tent has a great shape and is very large inside. The divider does not split the tent down the center, but off to one side. You could fit one twin size air mattress in this space and a king size air mattress on the other side. I looked at and own several other tents, but I just like the space and size of this one. We will see how it holds up in the long run. I do not find this tent hard to put up. I have been camping for a while and am used to different tent styles. I would recommend two people until you are used to setting the tent up, than one person can set it up if needed.

Tent is soooo spacious. Went camping with my 6 ft 2 in husband and 2 young boys. My husband was able to stand inside the tent without any problems. I was surprised to see we were able to fit 2 queen size mattresses, a portable crib and still had room for our bags and was able to create an isle to get to our beds and bags. Never had any problems with the zippers getting stuck in the door like some reviews had said. Another woman and I were able to put this tent up in 15-20 minutes, we didn't need the men to do this job. The rain fly went on very quickly and easily. Would definitely recommend this tent to someone else. We woke up with a dry tent, no problems with water from morning dew. We did not receive rain, so not sure how it would hold up, but my bet is it would stay dry. Very sturdy tent. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars was because one of the tent poles with the rope broke pretty easily. Amazon replaced it very quickly with a new one and we never had any other problems.
