This little heater is very nice. It is a lower output unit, so it has its limitations its power, but that is clearly noted in the description. I wanted a small heater that was lightweight enough that I could put it in my hiking pack for very cold nights to deal with the bitter cold. It can heat a moderate size tent well enough. I am very pleased. I agree with the advice of breaking it in and burning off the initial smell. It is an interesting smell at first.

All I can say this "heater" is Nothing more than a glorified hand warmer! Using a thermometer in my garage, this thing did NOT raise it up one degree.I even left it on all night and sealed up my garage tight and after 12 hours no change in temp. at all! This thing would only keep you warm only if you sat on it!

The SportCat heater took the chill off my tent while I was hunting in Wyoming. The fuel tank lasts all night, so you don't have to get up and refuel. Would also be great for ice fishing shack.

This is a decent heater my husband and I used in our 6-person (which really means 4-person) tent during a May camping trip. Very stable as far as tipping over. After a few hours of running, heat was not as "hot" as some of the reviews stated, but does do the trick of taking the chill out of the air. Our tent was high and vented so that explains why it didn't get very hot. I would definitely recommend buying this as the price is good and most others are fairly pricey. Well worth the money!
