Looking for durable "BPA Free" bottle and one that isn't made in china has proved to be a real task. This is the real thing, well designed and made in the USA. I ended up purchasing three of these to carry around and I expect to buy more to give to the people I care for. This item is clean and well packed and you only need to rinse the bottle before use. There isn't any detectable plastic taste. The cap seals well without having to be over tightened. The built in spout cove takes a little getting used to but when you figure out how to lift the release, it pops right up and out of the way. If you are looking for a convenient sized BPA free bottle to use during your daily activities, this is it.

The first thing you need to know about the Nalgene OTG (On-the-Go) water bottle is that it's designed to be carried upright, NOT upside-down! This is the trade-off for having the nifty, easy-to-drink-from, flip-up lid. The folk at Nalgene explain this on their website. (Specifically, this bottle was designed to meet the demand for a Nalgene bottle with an easy-to-open lid. Mission accomplished, only it can't be carried upside-down).
This trade-off may not suit the needs of some, but I'm happy with it. For me, it's no bother to carry my bottle upright -- especially if it spares me the hassle of unscrewing lids, dealing with unsanitary straw contraptions, or having to suck like a gerbil just to get a drink of water.
Designed to be bike-friendly and to fit most cup holders, the Nalgene OTG is, like other Nalgene bottles, taste & odor-free, utterly durable and made in the USA.

I ordered two of the Nalgene Tritan OTG BPA-free water bottles in spring green.
The size is just right to take to the office, fits in the car beverage holder easily, and great for the gym. The bottle is both easy to fill and drink from with no funky container taste. The cap requires a twist and push to release it, but that actually keeps it from opening if you have carry it from the 'O' ring. The design is simple and tasteful, and I have already received numerous compliments. I am very happy with this purchase.
An extra big plus is to know the bottles were MADE IN USA and BPA-free.

I really wanted to stop buying bottled water at the grocery but could never find a bottle that 'worked' for me. I hate the ones with the built in straws or the lids you had to unscrew to drink from, and especially the sippy cup styles. I carry water with me all the time so they have to be easy to carry, use and clean. I'll admit I'm picky but after trying about 10-15 different types that were all either a pain to use, or a pain to clean, I had just about given up. With each new one we'd try, we were back to the bottled water within the week. While on a shopping trip about 40 minutes from our home, I ran across these Nalgene water bottles. They looked to have a perfect design to counter everything I hated in previous bottles, they were also sturdy, attractive and reasonably priced. I decided to try. My search was over.
These bottles are THE BEST. I've been using them for about 18 months now and can't imagine using anything else. Love the finger hole for carrying,. They're the perfect size for my bike/car/gym have a great cover to keep germs at bay. They are ultra easy to wash with no nooks and crannies to wonder if it REALLY got clean. Dishwasher safe & BPA free too! We haven't bought bottled water since buying these! I have mine with me 24/7 and they have held up great. After buying one for each of us in the store we found them and discovering these would be bottles we would actually use, I turned to Amazon to order back-ups. Even though my original bottle still works great, I did recently order new, "fresher" ones. I thought I got my 10 bucks worth and deserved a new one ;) I've even had friends ask me to order some for them since they loved mine so much. Although have all 3 colors (one for each of us so we don't get them mixed up) my favorite is the green, my icewater looks so refreshing in it! I hope Nalgene never quits making this style. Perfect!
