I bought this thinking the spring weather would be nice and warm, unfortunately been usually rainy, but when it is sunny out I love this hammock. Takes 2 min to set up or tear down and great for catching naps between classes on campus. The ropes it comes with are a bit short, if you want to set up w/ a large tree you might want to invest in longer ones.

i dont care what any of the other reviews said cause im 230 lbs and i took this fine little diddy with me on a four day hike/fishing/camping trip in the catskills and it held up to my fat ass and believe me im not a gentle guy i figure it was under 20 bucks if it breaks it breaks and to no avail it held up perfectly fine! it was more than fine this thing is so comfortable you can lay any which way once you get your balance down its great you can wrap yourself up like a cocoon and keep the bugs or breeze out or even if you gotta pick your nose and there are alot of people around. i love this hammock and would suggest it to anyone under the 250 lbs rating of course

This hammock was used about 2 times before it completely snapped. It is falsely advertised as being able to hold 250 pounds. I weigh exactly 145.62 lbs (just went to the ER a few days ago and had it checked). This was a nice light hammock, but it snapped after maybe 1 hour of total use. These hammocks are light and poorly made, and you definitely get what you want for $15: crap.


I repeat, do NOT buy this hammock! If you spend a little more money, you can get a hammock that is durable enough to last more than an hour of holding 145 pounds.


I must admit though, it is possible mine was faulty. Apparently other people like it. It could be mine was just a hiccup.


Still, this hammock does not hold 250 pounds, and shouldn't be used for extended periods of time like sleeping.

This tent is great. We have used this for 2 camping trips, a total of 10 nights so far. We, slept 3, including a queen size mattress. It sets up very quickly and is very light. We did have some rain, but absolutely no leaks. The bottom is pretty thin, so I am glad we bought the footprint. I will use this for backpacking with my son.

My husband and I purchased this tent and we really like it. It is light enough for back backing. It says it can fit four people but I would say 2 comfortably and 3 snug. It is really easy to set, it takes about 5 minutes.

I do not recommend this tent for camping anyplace where you might encounter blowing sand or dust. Unlike many dome tents, the mesh windows in this tent are NOT equipped with zip-up panels - so there is no way to "batten down the hatches" and keep the dust out during a blow. Kelty probably decided to go this route to keep weight down, and to cut manufacturing costs enabling them to keep the tent priced low.



Stowed, the tent is light and compact. It is a joy to set up and take down - very quick and easy, and it feels spacious and airy even when the rain-fly is in place. I also like the large entry port - I don't have to crawl to get in or out like I do with some dome tents. It'll keep you dry and keep the bugs out, but the lack of a way to seal the mesh windows render it of limited use for someone like me who likes to camp in the desert sometimes.

I live in Aspen/Snowmass and go camping a lot. For two people... it's AWESOME! For 3 people it's great... even with gear. You can forget about 4 people... but isn't that why you buy a 4 person tent... to sleep 3 comfortable:-)?



Anyway... super easy assembly. I recommend putting a tarp underneath the tent to keep it in good condition and keep it dry.



Holds up in wind... rain... etc. The rain fly is great and gives you that extra space you need.



No complaints... great buy, super easy to set up, holds up in the weather.



For around $150... it's the best buy around.



Oh... this is not a winter tent... 3 seasons only.

 "Excellent tent for the money" 2009-10-01

When I was tent-shopping, my criteria for a tent was: 1.)something under 5lbs 2.)had to be around $100 3.)must have a good warranty. This tent met almost every one of these conditions (it actually cost $106).



I bought this tent because I enjoy back-country hiking and camping. The first time I used it was in the Ozark Mtns. and it performed almost as expected. I say "almost" because I did have one minor issue: The first night resulted in a heavy downpour of rain with lots of wind. The tent held up great, but the floor did allow some moisture inside. It appears that, if left untreated, the floor fabric will wick moisture through. This problem was easily remedied by water-proofing everything - problem solved.



Something else to consider is that this tent (as is the case with many others) is intended to be pitched on a footprint, or ground cover. The floor isn't built to withstand the abrasion and abuse of bare ground. I'm too cheap to spend $30 on a Kelty footprint, so I use a piece of Tyvek (moisture barrier). This is easily attainable at construction sites (just ask the workers if you can have a scrap from the window openings). You can also use part of an old winter pool cover.



Overall, I couldn't be happier with this tent.

I had a Kelty 2 person tent before and loved it. This one is the same only slightly lighter and better screened. Wonderful tent for two normal weight adults. A snap (pun intended) to put up and take down - well stitched and well outfitted (mesh pockets inside for assundries and well designed snaps all around). It is apparently not "ultra-light" but for the money it is awesome.

The tent is labeled as a to person tent however I found it to be more of a one person tent. And I am actually a small person so for two people I would think they would have to be very very small and without hardly any gear. Tent goes together fast however I found it to be a little light on the ventilation. As in doesn't seem to let enough ventilation through.

The two things we like the most is the easy setup and the weight of the tent. This tent was a little small for two person but it was just right for us. Depending on what you looking for in a tent, this tent offers a simple but nice fit interior. It has some side pockets inside the tent for storage but not too much space.
