I recently purchased my Nalgene wide mouth and I am happy to say I love it. It is impact resistant, leak proof, and retains no funky plastic smell or taste. I really like the idea of filling it up with arrowhead water from home and doing my part to clean up the environment by not using bottled water anymore. If your cash conscious this bottle saves you money buy filling from home. I immediately purchased a Guyot splashguard for my bottle (which also works great) to make sippin easier. The nalgene wide mouth also hooks up to my katadyn vario water filter perfectly. One of the best things about this bottle is that it's easy to clean and top rack dishwasher safe. Overall a great bottle!

I own both the Nalgene and the Camelbak BPA-free Tritan bottles. I like them both really well and use them both for different situations. The Nalgene is a great carry around bottle, while the Camelbak is probably better suited for the gym or biking (due to its bite valve). One nice thing about this Nalgene is the Camelbak tops (with the bite valve) will fit right on it.





What else can be said about the Nalgene? It just does its job and does it well. These new BPA-free tritan bottles are just as durable as the old polycarbonate ones, but without the potentially harmful leaching. Moreover, I have heard people say these new bottles do not retain odors or taste when left in a warm environment. The only way to break these bottles are with exotic explosions or liquid nitrogen (youtube for this). You can also fill it up with water and drop it off a building or slam it with a sledgehammer (while filled) and break it. However, just carrying it around for everyday use, you will find it almost impossible to break it merely by dropping it, washing it, stepping on it, or even running it over with your car.





I like these tritan bottles better than aluminum or steel because A) they are lighter and B) they are transparent. The color selection is nice, but could be a bit larger (like it was with the old polycarbonate bottles). I personally own the orange one with the white top.





The only con with this bottle is the mouth might be a bit too wide for drinking while moving (you might splash yourself). It is great for cleaning and dropping ice in, however.





Overall, the Nalgene is a legend, everyone should own one.

Looking for durable "BPA Free" bottle and one that isn't made in china has proved to be a real task. This is the real thing, well designed and made in the USA. I ended up purchasing three of these to carry around and I expect to buy more to give to the people I care for. This item is clean and well packed and you only need to rinse the bottle before use. There isn't any detectable plastic taste. The cap seals well without having to be over tightened. The built in spout cove takes a little getting used to but when you figure out how to lift the release, it pops right up and out of the way. If you are looking for a convenient sized BPA free bottle to use during your daily activities, this is it.

The first thing you need to know about the Nalgene OTG (On-the-Go) water bottle is that it's designed to be carried upright, NOT upside-down! This is the trade-off for having the nifty, easy-to-drink-from, flip-up lid. The folk at Nalgene explain this on their website. (Specifically, this bottle was designed to meet the demand for a Nalgene bottle with an easy-to-open lid. Mission accomplished, only it can't be carried upside-down).





This trade-off may not suit the needs of some, but I'm happy with it. For me, it's no bother to carry my bottle upright -- especially if it spares me the hassle of unscrewing lids, dealing with unsanitary straw contraptions, or having to suck like a gerbil just to get a drink of water.

I ordered two of the Nalgene Tritan OTG BPA-free water bottles in spring green.





The size is just right to take to the office, fits in the car beverage holder easily, and great for the gym. The bottle is both easy to fill and drink from with no funky container taste. The cap requires a twist and push to release it, but that actually keeps it from opening if you have carry it from the 'O' ring. The design is simple and tasteful, and I have already received numerous compliments. I am very happy with this purchase.





An extra big plus is to know the bottles were MADE IN USA and BPA-free.

I really wanted to stop buying bottled water at the grocery but could never find a bottle that 'worked' for me. I hate the ones with the built in straws or the lids you had to unscrew to drink from, and especially the sippy cup styles. I carry water with me all the time so they have to be easy to carry, use and clean. I'll admit I'm picky but after trying about 10-15 different types that were all either a pain to use, or a pain to clean, I had just about given up. With each new one we'd try, we were back to the bottled water within the week. While on a shopping trip about 40 minutes from our home, I ran across these Nalgene water bottles. They looked to have a perfect design to counter everything I hated in previous bottles, they were also sturdy, attractive and reasonably priced. I decided to try. My search was over.





These bottles are THE BEST. I've been using them for about 18 months now and can't imagine using anything else. Love the finger hole for carrying,. They're the perfect size for my bike/car/gym have a great cover to keep germs at bay. They are ultra easy to wash with no nooks and crannies to wonder if it REALLY got clean. Dishwasher safe & BPA free too! We haven't bought bottled water since buying these! I have mine with me 24/7 and they have held up great. After buying one for each of us in the store we found them and discovering these would be bottles we would actually use, I turned to Amazon to order back-ups. Even though my original bottle still works great, I did recently order new, "fresher" ones. I thought I got my 10 bucks worth and deserved a new one ;) I've even had friends ask me to order some for them since they loved mine so much. Although have all 3 colors (one for each of us so we don't get them mixed up) my favorite is the green, my icewater looks so refreshing in it! I hope Nalgene never quits making this style. Got this bottle for my wife. It's a fantastic bottle. We both have Klean Kanteens as well. I prefer this over the Klean Kanteen as I really have to crank on the tops of those to prevent leakage. This one doesn't leak at all. The only potential issue is trying to clean it. Though the narrow mouth is great, especially if trying to drink out of it in a car, it does make it a little harder to clean. Knowing that going in, I'm not going to knock the bottle for it. As an added bonus, these are one of the few bottles that are actually made right here in the U S of A. I like that too.

I take a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. However I like ice in my water and the opening on this bottle is so small you have to put the ice cubes in by hand one at a time which is not convenient. It also is shorter and therefore rounder than my other 1qt bottles so it is a lot of work to get it into the sac carriers to pack it around with me unless you want to hang onto that tiny strap on the lid. Bought 3 and gave them away.

I have started to drink a lot of water lately. I purchased this item at a retail outlet for $9.99 and must say that it is great. It holds just the right amount of water and is easy to carry. The top is very nice to drink from. The wide mouth version always made me feel as though i was going to spill on myself. The only downside is that you cannot easily put ice cubes in this. I tried to put in one cube from our ice dispenser and it does not go in. I try to drink two of these a day!

These things weigh between 3 and 4 oz a piece. They are hard to drink from sometimes (Mouth too wide) and the lid is a pain (Hits you in the nose if you don't hold it)





Here's an Idea, buy an Aquafina (Or any other brand) bottle at the gas-station or 7-11. The bottle only weighs 1.5 oz, is nearly indestructible and COMES WITH WATER!





Problem solved.

Love it. It wont break, trust me. I have seen one get thrown out a bus on the highway while going 65 mph. It barely had scratches on it, and was intact upon retrieval. Also have seen a cinder block dropped on it, and it was fine. If you can't manage to drink carefully, buy the $2 splash guard and save yourself from looking stupid from spilling and then probably looking even more stupid by complaining about it later on an Amazon review.





Nalgene is the best of it's kind and I love it. I'll never get a different brand.

I went on a huge aluminum bottle phase, but going back to the nalgene has been the best for me! They are made a lot better these days with really fun colors. The wide mouth is easier to clean and fill and I love how effortless it is. But it gets a little heavy (because of the liquid) so I dont carry it around with me to many places

Nalgene bottles are a tried and true staple of hiking and backpacking. I've been using them for years and I recently updated to the bpa free bottles. It seems just the as good as any other nalgene bottle I've owned and I love the green color.
